Appliances Online NZ Win $5K Makeover Competition 2025 Terms and Conditions
1. The Promoter is Winning Online Group Limited, NZBN 9429048551816 (Appliances Online New Zealand).
2. The competition commences at 12:00am on 12/03/2025 and concludes at 5:00pm on 21/03/2025 (Competition Period). Winner of Appliances Online NZ Win $5K Makeover Competition will be decided on 25/03/2025 at Appliances Online New Zealand, 72 Taharoto Rd, Takapuna 0622 (Winner).
3. Entries open to Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Taupo, Rotorua and Whangārei based residents only. Employees (and their immediate families) of Appliances Online New Zealand are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or stepchild (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or cousin.
4. Information on the offer and how to enter the competition form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this Competition (Competition) is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
5. To enter the Competition, participants are required to complete the following within the Competition Period:
● Follow @appliancesonline.co.nz on Instagram or Facebook; and
● Tag a friend who might also need an upgrade
Note: Entries are accepted on both Facebook and Instagram—participants may enter on both
platforms to increase their chances of winning.
6. Entrants must be over the age of 18 to enter.
7. By entering the Competition, the entrant agrees to the publication of their name on the Appliances Online New Zealand website and in the email newsletter, should they be declared the Winner.
8. Appliances Online New Zealand is entitled to use any of the entries submitted in any manner and for any purpose at its absolute discretion, including using the entries for research, promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference or payment or other compensation to the entrant. Appliances Online New Zealand is entitled to amend, edit, select, crop, retouch, add to or delete from any part of the submitted entry.
9. The Competition is a game of chance. Skill has no effect on the overall result.
10. There is 1 (one) Winner, which may be subject to change. Appliances Online New Zealand’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
11. The prize Winner will be notified by Appliances Online New Zealand by 02/04/2025 via an announcement on Appliances Online NZ’s Facebook and Instagram pages and contacted via direct message to obtain the Prize Winner’s contact details and email. It is the Entrants’ responsibility to provide correct details to confirm acceptance of the Prize and to enable the prize to be sent directly to the Winners email. If the Winner does not contact Appliances Online New Zealand via direct message within two (2) days of being notified they are a prize Winner, they will forfeit the Prize and another Winner will be selected and notified.
12. Appliances Online reserves the right to select additional reserve entries and record them in order, in case an invalid entry is the original Winner.
13. The prizes will consist of one $5,000 Appliances Online New Zealand Voucher (Prize). The Prize cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash.
14. If the Prize is not claimed by 04/04/2025, another Winner will be decided at Appliances Online New Zealand, 72 Taharoto Rd, Takapuna 0622.
15. By accepting the Prize, the Winner agrees to participate in and co-operate as required with all reasonable media editorial requests from Appliances Online New Zealand relating to the Prize, including but not limited to, being interviewed, photographed, filmed and/or chaperoned throughout the duration of the Prize.
16. All decisions of Appliances Online New Zealand are final and no discussions or correspondence will be entered into.
17. Appliances Online New Zealand reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrant and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by Appliances Online New Zealand to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
18. Appliances Online New Zealand reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, amend or suspend the Competition or Competition Terms subject to any written directions from a relevant regulatory authority.
19. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify any provision of relevant legislation including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986.
20. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, Appliances Online New Zealand (including its Related Bodies Corporate, their officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including for negligence) for any personal injury or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity) whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Competition, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under Appliance Online New Zealand control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry that is late, lost, altered,damaged or misdirected due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of Appliances Online; (d) any variation in offer value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by an entrant; or (f) acceptance or use of a Prize.
21. All entries and any copyright subsisting in the entries become and remain the property of Appliances Online New Zealand. Appliances Online New Zealand collects personal information about entrants to include entrants in the Competition and where appropriate award prizes. If the personal information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the Competition. By entering the Competition and opting in at the point of product registration, each entrant agrees that Appliances Online New Zealand may use entrants’ personal information in this manner. Each entrant also agrees that Appliances Online New Zealand may publish or cause to be published the Winner’s name and locality in any media as required under the relevant legislation.
22. All entries must be submitted in accordance with all relevant laws, including that the entrant warrants that they own copyright in the entry, or have relevant consents or licences to use the copyright material from the rightful owner.
23. A copy of Appliances Online New Zealand Privacy Policy in relation to the treatment of personal information collected may be obtained by contacting the Promoter or by visiting the website https://www.appliancesonline.co.nz/
24. By entering this Competition, you release Instagram and Facebook from any and all liability in relation to the Prize, acceptance of the Prize or entry into the Competition. The Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram or Facebook.
