Really impressed with the Bosch microwave and grill especially its ability to cook a crispy meat pie in 5 minutes and also the favourite button for a quick heat section.

Had this microwave for a few years now and very happy with its quality and functionality. It's solid as, and once you get a handle on how to use it, very quick and efficient. It's easy to keep clean, both internally and externally. Some people have complained about the timer control being a dial, which they say makes it slow to dial in a longer cooking time. You should only use the dial, on its own, for cooking time of less then 30seconds. The trick is to understand how to use the buttons and dial in combination. If you only use the dial, you need to spin it like crazy to get into the multiple minute timeframes. Instead you press the "Start: 30 sec" button multiple times for 30, 60, 90 ... seconds on high. Or any of the power settings 800, 600, 360, etc, which gives you 1 minute of cooking time at the required wattage, then press the "Start: 30 sec" button multiple times to achieve multiple minutes of cooking time. Basically the dial works in 1 second increments from 0 to 60 seconds, then 10 second increments from 1 minute to 5 minutes, then 1 minute increments above 5 minutes. So using a combination of the "Start: 30 sec" and/or the wattage power buttons and dial to fine tune the required time works a treat. The grill button is a a little different but the same. Press the grill button and you'll get 10 minutes of "heat" cooking time, with the dial changing the time by 1 minute intervals above that and the same down to 5 minutes, then 10 second intervals below that to 1 minute and then 1 second intervals below that. You can add one of the 3 lowest microwave settings (i.e. 90, 180, 360 watts) for a combined Heat/microwave cooking option. Or you can select one of the 3 lowest microwave settings (i.e. 90, 180, 360 watts) buttons first, (giving you 1 minute) then using the timer dial to fine tune in 1 second intervals below 1 minute, 10 second intervals above 1 minute and 1 minute intervals above 5 minutes. I'll admit it sounds a little complicated but if you give it a go it works out to be a very quick and efficient way to use a microwave.
